Our hands are part of everything we do. We use them to greet people, perform everyday tasks, and express our emotions. However, our hands are exposed to water from handwashing throughout the day, as well as cleaning agents that can irritate the skin.1,5,6<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For your patients with chronic hand eczema, that exposure presents the additional challenge of a large treatment gap,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STRAIGHT TALK ABOUT CHRONIC HAND ECZEMA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While the most common symptoms of chronic hand eczema are itch and pain, the disease greatly affects physical functioning. Holding and even just touching<\/strong><\/strong> <\/mark>everyday objects can be challenging and frustrating to someone with moderate-to-severe CHE.4,5<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patients with CHE also report that their disease causes them to be absent from their jobs, avoid certain activities while at work, and even take more breaks from tasks so they can administer their therapy.4<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n
